Sculpture "Searching for traces"

This sculpture was created especially for my exhibition at Galerie Theodor von Hörmann on the

theme "Searching for Traces". A total of 60 pairs of shoes are incorporated into this sphere. Shoes from me and my family.
Shoes that have left their mark. Traces that lie behind them and those that are still to be found.
For me, this is an exciting path that I am happy to embark on, so I find myself on a journey that always allows me to discover "something new".

The Imst Schemenlaufen, also known as Fasnacht, is a carnival custom in Imst in Tyrol.

Since 2010, the Imst carnival - Schemenlaufen - has been part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, as declared by UNESCO, on the Austrian list (National Cultural Property).

The Imst Schemenlaufen is something very special for the people of Imst, and I am also enthusiastic about this beautiful custom. It gives me great pleasure to immerse myself in the world of carnival through painting and to capture this traditional custom artistically in my own personal way.
